MORTIFICATION To Tour U.S., Europe In The Fall

May 6, 2007

Vocalist/bassist Steve Rowe of the Australian Christian death metallers MORTIFICATION has posted the following message on the band's official web site:

"As it stands today, it looks quite definite that we will tour in the U.S. and Europe in October and November. However, nothing is 100% just yet. Tour costs may push the release of [the] 'Live Humanitarian' [DVD] into early next year. This is why we are presenting the special half-price offer on the reissue DVD.

"The Soundmass digipak re-issue of the '91 self-titled album has now been put forward to early July. However, their re-print of the classic 'gory' cover MORTIFICATION t-shirt is now available at the Soundmass.com store."

Rowe previously stated about the upcoming "Live Humanitarian" DVD. "The audio sounds MASSIVE! It was recorded live at the deluxe but intimate Imax Theatre in Perth, Australia late last year. It is a MORTIFICATION 17-year celebration featuring 24-track digital live recording and a seven-digital-camera shoot. It will be coming out in Dolby 5.1 Surround Sound. This is the first full-length MORTIFICATION show ever to be done this well. 'Live Planetarium' (1993) had only half the show on video (now re-issued and available on DVD) and the full show was only on the CD. This is a huge undertaking but with seven cameras and Surround Sound, it will surpass any past official MORTIFICATION releases."

MORTIFICATION's most recent studio album, "Erasing the Goblin" was released in 2006 through MCM Music.
